Concerned by large commercial companies continuously inventing products with short life cycles, Brightgreen set out to reduce unnecessary consumption by eliminating planned obsolescence from their products.

They were also committed to creating premium lights built for the Australian climate, that didn’t sacrifice efficiency for performance.

These objectives came to life in Perth with the creation of the Curve D900; the world’s first 16 watt LED downlight to match the brightness and light output of a 50W halogen while lasting fifteen times longer and requiring only a third of the energy.

The superior brightness and exceptional light quality of the Curve D900 set a new precedent in the market by offering the first true energy-efficient downlight to rival a 50W halogen.

Design awards soon followed, as well as national exposure and unprecedented interest from commercial and residential markets.

This interest was soon extended to Europe, with Germany being the first country to import the lights into their competitive market.

Brightgreen decided to push the barriers again by evolving the D900 Curve into a Cube, creating the world’s first square beam downlight.

Using the same revolutionary technology as the Curve, the Cube’s square beam offers unparalleled control by evenly distributing light.

Now Brightgreen has released its new retrofit series featuring teh award-winning DR700; the world's firsy 10W LED replacement bulb to deliver 50W of light.

Brightgreen operates from Melbourne, with offices in Perth, Johannesburg and Frankfurt. For more Information on Brightgreen's purpose, products and stockists visit www.brightgreen.com
